Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada spent three days in Hungary, from 4 to 6 November 2026, pressing for closer trade, investment and technology ties.

Prasada, who is also Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, called on the Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly and met Hungary's Minister of Science and Technology. The talks covered emerging technologies, research and innovation, and cooperation between industries and research institutions. The Commerce Ministry says the discussion also placed bilateral ties in the wider context of India–European Union relations.
