INS Trishul wrapped up a port call at Souda Bay in Greece on 3 November 2026, then held a sea exercise with a Hellenic Navy ship as she continued her deployment in the Mediterranean.
During the visit the ship's commanding officer called on senior Hellenic Navy officials and on the heads of the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre and the US Naval Support Activity at Souda Bay. They discussed logistics, cooperation and mutual support among partner navies.
Exchanges on board
Indian and Hellenic sailors made cross-visits, and Hellenic personnel toured INS Trishul. India's Ambassador to Greece, Ravi Shankar, visited and was briefed on the ship's combat capabilities. A cultural event on board drew Greek and US naval officers, the Commander of the NATO Missile Firing Installation and members of the Indian community.
At sea
On leaving, INS Trishul held a passage exercise (PASSEX) with the Hellenic Navy's HS Limnos (F451). It included manoeuvring drills, replenishment approaches, a cross-deck landing by the ship's helicopter and communication drills.
The ship then moved on to the next phase of her deployment.
