Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the people of Haryana on Haryana Day, calling the state a source of pride for the nation.
He said Haryana is adorned with a glorious history, remarkable valour and rich cultural heritage, and that its folk traditions and vibrant rural culture have always enriched India's cultural heritage.
Athletes and farmers
"The people of Haryana have demonstrated their talent and determination through hard work and dedication in diverse fields, including agriculture, sports, defence services, industry, education and startups," Modi said. He added: "The state's athletes are enhancing the pride of the Tricolour, while its farmers are strengthening the country's food security."
In his post on X, the Prime Minister wished that the occasion bring happiness to all the people of the state. The Prime Minister's Office release carries the message only; it does not announce any scheme.
