TRAI launches Network Anubhav map to show mobile and broadband speeds by location
The dashboard combines results from TRAI’s MySpeed and MyCall apps with its independent drive tests.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched Network Anubhav, an online map that shows how mobile and broadband networks performed in different places, based on tests by users and by TRAI itself.
The platform combines results from TRAI's MySpeed and MyCall apps with its independent drive-test data, and also offers a web interface for the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry.
What consumers can do
- View test results for cellular or fixed broadband, split by service provider and technology, with download and upload speeds.
- Zoom the map to see where consumer tests were taken.
- Use filters, legends, tables and downloadable reports.
- Report spam and test internet speed.
The platform reports percentile values: P50 (the median speed), P80 for mobile broadband and P90 for fixed broadband. P80 means 80% of tests recorded at least that speed.
A caution
TRAI says user-test values "do not represent comprehensive assessment of network quality based on standard methodology", but give a useful view of other users' experience at different locations.
For operators and the regulator
Telecom service providers can see consumer-test data on call quality, coverage and internet speed through a secure interface, with location, date and time, to pick places for further analysis. TRAI will use the aggregated data to monitor consumer experience.
