INS Sahyadri has completed the India–Republic of Korea Navy bilateral exercise at Busan, the Navy said, after a harbour phase of professional exchanges and a sea phase of joint manoeuvres.
The Indian Navy statement says the exercise ended on 29 October 2026 and enhanced interoperability and mutual understanding between the two navies.
Harbour and sea phases
In harbour, personnel held professional discussions, cross-deck visits, operational briefings and subject-matter exchanges, along with cultural and sporting engagements. At sea, INS Sahyadri and ROKS Munmu the Great carried out coordinated navigation, helicopter operations and joint manoeuvres to practise coordination and learn each other's procedures.
The Navy said the exercise reflects a shared resolve to deepen maritime cooperation and supports peace, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific. INS Sahyadri had arrived at Busan on 26 October, as reported earlier by BDT.
