The Jute Corporation of India (JCI) held plantation, cleaning and record-management drives across its offices from 2 to 27 October under Special Campaign 6, the Ministry of Textiles said.
The campaign aims to promote cleanliness, better use of office space, disposal of redundant material and e-waste, and more efficient government work.
JCI ran an "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" tree-planting drive on Swachh Bharat Diwas, and cleaned offices, toilets, record rooms and storage racks. It also cleaned public areas and retting tanks at its premises across India, and held activities at a school in Bhadrak.
The ministry praised JCI's contribution, including its social media outreach. The release does not give figures such as files weeded, space freed or scrap revenue.
