The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare says it disposed of over 10,198 grievances, or 109.57 per cent of a target of 9,307, during Special Campaign 6.
The department held plantation and shramdaan drives, including one on 2 October at CSOI, New Delhi, with Minister of State Jitendra Singh and Secretary Nivedita Shukla Verma, and cleaned 21 identified sites nationwide. On 26 October the minister inaugurated a library and a selfie point for the DLC campaign, made from discarded office equipment under a "Waste to Wealth" initiative.
Records and rules
Of 747 physical files identified for review, 56 marked for weeding out were processed. 753 e-files were reviewed and 189 closed. Under an "Ease of Rules" push, the department issued 37 office memoranda to simplify procedures for pensioners. Grievances were tracked daily on the SCDPM portal. The figures are the department's own.
