The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare held a mega camp with Punjab National Bank at its Parliament Street branch in New Delhi on 3 November, urging 100 per cent coverage of pensioners in the Digital Life Certificate campaign.

Secretary Nivedita Shukla Verma said the campaign succeeds only if it reaches every pensioner, including those in remote areas, and said more than 14 lakh pensioners aged 80 and above submitted digital certificates in the previous campaign. Pensioners can generate a certificate at home on a smartphone using face authentication, she said, without depending on others or visiting a bank.

She encouraged pensioners to become "ambassadors of digital empowerment" by sharing their experience with others. Joint Secretary Dhrubajyoti Sengupta noted that Digital Life Certificate services have evolved significantly since their introduction in 2014, with face authentication now at the centre. The camp is part of Nationwide DLC Campaign 5, which has a target of over two crore certificates, as reported on 2 November.
