The Social Justice Ministry's Shilp Samagam Mela 2026, a craft fair with more than 130 stalls, runs at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi, until 15 November, and the ministry's Secretary visited it on Thursday evening.
Union Secretary Sudhansh Pant toured the stalls with Prabhat Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC), and other officers.
What the fair offers
The stalls showcase handicrafts, handloom products, traditional textiles, festive decorations, lamps and home décor. They are run by artisans and beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Safai Karamcharis and persons with disabilities.
Pant said the fair connects traditional artisans and entrepreneurs with consumers and creates market links. The ministry has held Shilp Samagam Melas since 2022, and more than 1,000 artisans from these communities have benefited, he said.
He appealed to the public to visit the fair and support the artisans.
