The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) says it has disposed of more than 99% of public grievances under Special Campaign 6, the government-wide drive to cut pending work and keep offices clean.
As of 28 October, the department had also cleared more than 80% of public grievance appeals and closed about 83% of identified e-files.
References cleared
DPIIT reported these figures for references received from various authorities:
- Prime Minister's Office: more than 50% disposed of
- Cabinet and Inter-Ministerial Committee, and State Governments: around 75%
Pending references from MPs were also identified and are being addressed, the release says.
The campaign
The implementation phase ran from 2 to 31 October 2026, after a preparatory phase from 15 to 30 September. The campaign is coordinated by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and covers DPIIT's attached and subordinate offices. DPIIT said it has also improved workplace cleanliness and the working environment for staff.
The figures are DPIIT's own and are as of 28 October, before the campaign ended.
