Two wage settlements at UltraTech's Bathinda unit will bring about ₹3.36 crore in financial benefits to 217 workers over the next five years, the Ministry of Labour and Employment said.
The memorandums of settlement were signed on 14 October 2026 between the management and two unions, the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC). They followed conciliation by the Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central), Jalandhar, under the office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central).
What the workers get
The benefits will run for five years and will be applied retrospectively from the second quarter of the year, under the terms of each agreement. The release does not say what the individual benefits are.
The ministry said the case shows the value of conciliation in reaching solutions both sides can accept, and that it was reached through dialogue between management and workers' representatives.
